Yiu Lian Dockyards (Shekou) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd., was founded in 1989, and in 2008, moved to the new location at Mazhou base, Shekou, Shenzhen, China. By covering a total area of 630, 000m2, the base operates along a coastline of 3, 400m; equipped with two VLCC dry-docks with capacities of 300, 000dwt and over 300, 000dwt respectively, and has two floating docks, which can handle vessels of 70, 000dwt and 30, 000dwt respectively. Yiu Lian (Shekou) now is the biggest ship repair yard in China.
